Tasports have approved the grant application submitted by JP, so there will be extra funding for
- supplies and materials for restoration/maintenance of Grebes;
- flotation bags for Grebes, to replace old ones and add new ones and
- First aid course for volunteers helping with the on-the-water program.

All of this should encourage those of us who are thinking about volunteering for this program to hop off the fence and sign up using <<this form>>. We start at the end of the month with Franklin Primary School – a bunch of very nice kids. If you are not sure what his involved have a look <<here>>, and there is a good, hands on orientation session so you aren’t dumped in the river past your depth.
