The slab: getting our ducks in a row.

Nothing is ever simple. The bottom line is – it’s very unlikely that the concreting of the Shed floor will happen early in April. We need various levels of sign-off for the slab, including, before concrete is laid, a Certificate of Likely Compliance (CLC) from a Building Surveyor. If we don’t get this approval in place first, we could end up with an ‘Illegal Structure’ that is very unlikely to get retrospective approvals without a jack-hammer. We thought we had everything sorted out regarding paperwork, but it turned out there were holes.

The good news is that we now have a bit of slack time to think about reorganising the Shed. It became apparent, as we moved all the duplicate tools and left overs from projects to the Watersheds, that part of this reorganising should be a substantial cull. Garage sale coming up.
