The Maritime Museum writes:
‘Join us on Tuesday September 2 at 12:00pm with Peter Marmion as he shares the extraordinary story of his solo circumnavigation of Tasmania — on foot.
With a particular focus on the untamed coastline between Port Davey and Strahan, Peter will take us into one of the wildest and least-visited parts of the state. This untracked, World Heritage-listed region is a place of rugged beauty and rich cultural significance, full of stories both ancient and modern.’
Venue: Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, Royal Society Room
Time: 12:00pm
Peter’s connection to the LBT is that he was headmaster at Franklin Primary and was instrumental in setting up the ‘On the Water’ program, and he still has many friends amongst us.
