For those driving TN25

That would be the catering and support crews.  Here is a Google Map showing what is involved. Cross reference to the >>voyage map<< for the big picture.

And here are the times between destinations, according to Google.

Moss Glen to Southport: 30 minutes
Southport to Dover: 20 minutes
Dover to Simpsons Point: 2 hours 20 minutes (not including ferry)
Simpsons Point to Quarantine: 41 minutes
Quarantine to Lauderdale Beach: 1 hour 44 minutes (not including ferry)

Of course given we are towing and using heavy vehicles the times could easily be doubled.  The Dover to Simpson’s Point and Quarantine to Lauderdale  legs involves a ferry, which takes some waiting time and maybe 20 minutes on the water.  Most of the roads are sealed, a small minority are not and at Simpson’s there is some rough ground to cover.  Apart from the final leg which goes through Hobart all the driving is through the countryside and very small towns.

Everybody helps with pulling down and setting up, including the crews from the boats.  Generally the land crews can get away by about 10.30 am.  After arrival there may be a couple of hours of helping set up.   There is a separate catering crew in charge of meals, but everybody mucks in, except for washing up:  that is for the boat crews!
