It’s been great to have Gretchen on the verandah so that we can admire her very slick paint job, but it was time to get her back in the water, and on Tuesday the deed was done. Kevin Robson orchestrated the block and tackles to hoist her off the ground, Max did the towing, many hands made light work of erecting the mast, and by early afternoon Gretchen was snuggled beside the pontoon – being admired by the ducks. Jack and Bart are going to take her for ‘sea trials’, which will be used to tune the leeboards. Pics below – thanks to Henk Brolsma.
