How many old gaffers does it take to get Gretchen out of the water? Judging from the picture below quite a few.
She hasn’t been out for 3 years – looks like the worms have been having fun making castings on the leeboards in the meantime.
Leeboards are a Dutch thing, and Jack Witte is on the case with his cousin back in the Netherlands to find out exactly how we should be weighted. We suspect that they have never been used properly before – the boat being set up for motoring when it arrived at the LBT.
