John Murray from Gaco (https://www.gacooarlocks.com) recently supplied us with this interesting comparison of two of our favourite ways of getting about on the water. John knows what he is talking about, as those of us who have experienced his rowlocks, oars and dory can attest, and we don’t think he is advocating having a fire aboard (see pic).
