tawe nunnugah day 1

Dennis finished off the last of the thole pins, the mountain of supplies was assembled, checked and loaded, and the tawe nunnugah convoy rolled onto the road. Two hours later it bounced over the final pothole into Cockle Creek to meet the boats which had sailed or motored down.  The marquees were erected.  Trailered boats were launched at a  distant ramp and sailed to the camp.   The ukeles were unpacked and tuned (sort of), and an impromptu barber’s shop octet formed around them to belt out ‘Bound for South Australia’.  You certainly can’t get much further south.  Rodney’s efforts in preparing a dinner were put to the test by an appreciatively hungry congregation.
