Preparation of all sorts for SOS26, particularly getting the food organised, had been going on for weeks, but reached a crescendo on Saturday morning. Many of the boats were congregated around the pontoon.

A briefing was held,

before taking off at 10am to take advantage of the outgoing tide. Getting down to Shipwrights Point necessitated some rowing.

At the first stop, JP’s place at Waterloo, the land crew had set for afternoon tea,

and the afternoon was spent enjoying that, pitching tents and socialising.
