The mayhem of the Parade of Sails and the milling crowds at the largest wooden boat festival in the Southern Hemisphere can be a bit of a shock after the peace and tranquillity of the Raid. To help you ease back into normal life we’ve organised a tn25 Welcome to Hobart event upstairs at the Hope and Anchor for the afternoon of Friday 7th February from about 3pm (although if you’re at a loose end, I’m sure they will be happy to sell you a beer earlier). Those who’ve done previous Raids will be relieved to learn that the new owners haven’t tarted it up – once again we will get to enjoy the dingey décor which is such a welcome relief after all the fresh air and sunshine of the Raid. We will organise platters of nibbles and there will be a cash bar to help you get back into the swing of using money. We also hope to have the baggage truck parked next door which will make it easy to collect when its time to head off to your lodgings.
