The Living Boat Trust has had a long association with Peter, which was particularly fruitful in the years when he was headmaster of Franklin Primary and heavily involved in the ‘on the water’ program. Pete is also a great naturalist and geographer, working as a guide around Port Davey, contributing to publications such as ‘Mapping Van Diemen’s Land and the Great Beyond’, bush walking and sailing. He’s recently been hard at work on his just completed magnum opus about the South West. To quote from his publisher:
‘Peter Marmion has gathered stories from people with an encyclopaedic knowledge of the Port Davey area, people who had fished the southern waters for nearly 40 years, and families who handed down knowledge lived through generations.’
Come down to the Shed and hear all about it.
