If you have bought new gear for the Raid, please don’t bring the packaging with you – get rid of it before the start so it doesn’t add to the rubbish we have to get carry out. Don’t feel you need to bring your own wine cellar – we run an ‘Honesty bar’ from a dedicated van. The bar provides a modest return to the LBT and has the added advantage that we don’t have to shift lots of heavy bags of grog masquerading as personal gear every time we unload the truck – so everyone benefits. Please don’t bring any pets as some of the camp sites are wildlife and plant reserves with protection covenants. We are allowed to camp at these sites only if we agree to ensuring no pets come with us.
