The Raid is almost upon us and activity at the shed is really ramping up. If you are in the vicinity of the LBT and wish to help, please come to the shed, introduce yourself and roll-up your sleeves. We leave for Recherche Bay on Wednesday 1 February, but the period 26-31 January will be really busy – that’s when everything comes together. If you have offered a vehicle for camp support we are relying on you, please don’t leave it to the last minute to come to the shed and confirm its availability. If you are bringing your own Raid boat, aim to be in Franklin by noon on Tuesday 31 January at the latest. Unless you have told us you are taking your boat directly to Recherche Bay, we will do vessel safety checks in Franklin – that way you are close to Franklin Marine (chandler) and the LBT workshop if you need anything. Don’t forget the Welcome Dinner at the Watersheds (the big sheds just south of the LBT) from 6pm on Tuesday evening. The Welcome Dinner is included in the participation fee for tn23 and all Camp Support and Safety Boat Volunteers are invited at no cost. Family and friends can join you at the Welcome Dinner but you need to book a ticket ($40) for them by Monday 23 January (if you haven’t already booked for your guests, the link to book for extra guests is in the form below). Please tell us when you expect to arrive in Franklin and whether you plan to come to the Welcome Dinner, using the on-line form at: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfYAXWekDzRLeKD14XxnSwy7Jbw9ze4UEr9W7npIuqqJHvUJQ/viewform?usp=sharing
