‘It’s been a busy of couple months finding our bearings after the cancellation of the 2021 Festival, though we’re on course now and excited to share our plans with you.
First off, I’m very pleased to announce that the wooden boat community is coming together to present the 2021 Parade of Sail, scheduled for February 7th. It is a great opportunity to put on a spectacular show for Hobart at the height of Summer and get some fine wooden boats out on the water.
But that’s not all! It’s also time to introduce a brand new event we’ve been working on – The Maritime Trail, a behind-the-scenes exploration of Tasmania’s thriving maritime culture. It’s an opportunity to discover boatyards, marinas, sawmills, museums, and experiences across the State, and a chance to come face to face with the boat owners, craftspeople and enthusiasts who are at the heart our great Festival.
We’ll launch a full program in early March, but in the meantime, put it in your diary – The Maritime Trail on April 10th and 11th, 2021.’
