The LBT does breakfast at Franklin Market

April’s Franklin Market had the benefit of Ali McRae’s excellent pumpkin soup, Ros Barnett’s vegetable frittatas, and a range of warming fare for a chilly Huon morning. It was the smallest market ever, according to one of the stalwarts, but we still turned a profit, and perhaps it was a good way for us to get started (we haven’t been here before). Thanks to all those who helped – it wouldn’t have happened without you. These sorts of events are really important to the Trust’s finances and there needs to be more of them in future. But it was not just about the money – it was a great opportunity to spend time with LBT members (is there any better company?) and contribute to an event which keeps our community alive and thriving. |
