‘Western Australia is embracing the St Ayles Skiff movementwith the commencement of two skiff builds at the Royal Freshwater Bay YachtClub. During my visit last week I found –
A picture-perfect Swan River setting that will be wonderful for rowing adventures
A male group of “around 15” Yacht Club members enthusiastically getting stuck into the building three times per week. Each kit had been cut out and prepared for assembly, with the first skiff well on its way. The building frame was in position, as well as the internal frame with hog, stems and ribs prepared, the latter made out of mahogany.’
