LBT and the coronavirus

At the LBT Committee meeting on Thursday night the followingresponse to the threat posed by the Coronavirus was formulated. 

  • The committeewill keep abreast of information and government policy decisions atall levels and react accordingly. We have access to very goodadvice from health professionals. 

  • The LBT Shedwill remain open until further notice. 

  • Recommendedhealth procedures are to be followed at the LBT Shed.
    • Wash hands frequently with soap and water, and thoroughly dry them on paper towel.
    • Maintain social distance.
    • Avoid touching face, mouth, nose.
    • Practice respiratory hygiene.
    • If you have any cold symptoms, stay away.
    • If you are at risk, stay away.
    • In the kitchen, preferably use the dishwasher, otherwise use antibacterial dish washing liquid. Prewash dinner dishes.
    • In the bathroom, use paper towels.
    • In the shed, wash tables, benches and door handles with an appropriate antiseptic cleaner, wipes or a 70/30 methylated spirits mix.

    • The Tuesday/Thursday group have expressed a preference to keep working and will do so. 
    • Kate Hoorweg is prepared to keep hosting Monday night dinners, so they will run with the following restrictions.

    The LBT functions as well as it does because of the contributions of responsible, individual members. The decisions outlined above are intended to enhance this situation.  Advice and circumstances are rapidly changing, so all these decisions may only apply for a short period of time.
