Day 51

From Graham Rankin:

‘Getting closer! Today we sanded Wednesday’s fillets. Willis took to the stern stem with the Japanese saw and Mick glued a celery top capping in place to keep out the moisture. The stem is being kept short to allow for a larger rudder and long tiller to used when sailing. The rowing rudder will be fitted with a yolk, getting around the problem of the tiller getting in the road of the cox (or vice versa) The yolk and rope control lines will give equal movement in either direction. If it doesn’t work we’ll all have egg on our faces.’
